Founder- Jose Reyes
Jose Reyes, a licensed barber since 2008, is the visionary behind the BarbeReyes Project. Inspired by his father’s journey as an immigrant from El Salvador who built a successful business from humble beginnings, Jose has dedicated his career not only to barbering but also to creating pathways for others to succeed. His belief in the power of family, resilience, and community fuels his mission to use barbering as a tool for transformation and hope.

About The Barbereyes Project
The BarbeReyes Project was founded out of a passion for community, family, and the life-changing impact of barbering. What began as Jose’s personal calling has grown into a family-driven movement led by Jose, his father, and his brothers. Together, they are committed to empowering individuals and families in both the United States and El Salvador.
At its core, the BarbeReyes Project provides barbering education, mentorship, and mental wellness programs that help individuals gain confidence, develop professional skills, and unlock new opportunities for their future. Beyond training, the project extends its reach into the community by supporting families with essential resources such as food, clothing, and access to sports and educational programs keeping young people engaged, motivated, and on the right path.
By blending practical skills with personal development and family support, the BarbeReyes Project is building stronger communities and brighter futures proving that something as simple as a haircut can be the start of lasting change.
