Fueling spirit, building Community

ree

The BarbeReyes Project believes that small acts of support can ripple into something much greater. This season, we had the privilege of partnering with McAlister’s and Qdoba to bring a moment of encouragement and community to the Star Spencer High School cheerleaders.

Before their very first football game of the year, these young women were filled with excitement, nerves, and pride in representing their school. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we were able to provide them with a warm, nourishing meal that reminded them they are seen, supported, and celebrated by their community.

For the girls, it wasn’t just about food, it was about the message behind it: “We believe in you.” A simple meal became a powerful gesture of encouragement, fueling them not just physically, but emotionally as they stepped out to cheer for their school and lift the spirits of the entire community.

Moments like this are why we do what we do. It’s about showing the next generation that they matter, that their hard work and dedication are recognized, and that their community stands behind them.

We are deeply grateful to McAlister’s and Qdoba for making this possible. Their support shows how local businesses can invest in more than just food it’s an investment in people, pride, and community spirit.

This was just one game, one night, and one team. It represents something bigger: when we come together, we create lasting impact, and that’s what The BarbeReyes Project is all about.
